The Claremont High School (CHS) Theatre Program has enriched the Claremont community for 53 years. Under the 31-year leadership of its founding director, Don Fruechte, our most recently retired director, Krista Carson Elhai, and our current director Mohammed Mangrio, the Theatre Program provides a highly recognized, inclusive performing arts and technical theatre education for hundreds of students every year. Currently, over 500 students are involved in the CHS Theatre Program, where students learn the importance of teamwork while developing skills onstage as well as behind the scenes. CHS is home to one of the largest Thespian Troupes in California, and students rank in the top 1% statewide, earning hundreds of nationally recognized awards and honors, while Alumni work in every aspect of film, television, and Broadway.
