The Claremont High School Theatre program is celebrating its 60th anniversary. For six decades, under the direction of three directors, CHS has produced outstanding shows and provided thousands of students a performing arts home. Additional shows have been added this season, totaling nine! One really exciting change to the line-up is the addition of a second Musical Theatre show. Along with the June ‘Bridges’ show, Matilda, the Musical Theatre class will also be putting on The Lightning Thief at the CHS Theatre in January. While loyal CHS Theatre donors continue to offer generous support, the department continues to need your help to pull off its ambitious season of quality shows, especially this season! Last December, the CHS Theatre Booster Club successfully raised over $5,000 in a calendar year-end lighting campaign to upgrade and purchase Cyclorama lighting for enhanced visual effects. This year, our fundraising focus is on replacing the outdated audio equipment. Theatre Director, Mohammad Mangrio, has developed a comprehensive audio upgrade proposal to ensure that cast and crew can keep in better communication during shows and the audience members can hear these wonderful shows! Please consider a calendar year-end donation to help us raise $20,000 to purchase the much needed and more functional audio equipment. Giving is easy! This style of microphone has its benefits and will remain part of our audio inventory, but as we grow and replace worn parts it is our goal to transition to a system that more closely reflects the professional theater industry.
Industry Standard Omnidirectional Hairline Lavalier Microphones
This style of microphone is not only more appealing to look at, it also provides a rounder and preferred sound because the center of the forehead is the best placement as the cranial ridge conducts sound.

The CHS Theatre program wishes to recognize The Economy Shop for their recent donation of $2,000 to upgrade our communications system from front of house to backstage. This gift will provide the finishing touches on a wireless ClearCom system that had some missing pieces. We are so grateful for incredible community support like this!
